About the role

The Cardiac ICU RN provides direct patient care on the OMC Jeff Hwy unit, working day shifts. The role emphasizes compassionate, inclusive care while adhering to the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to ensure quality outcomes.
Educate patients and families, adapting communication to cultural, ethnic, and religious diversity.
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, using data to drive improvements and achieve unit goals.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; clinical specialty certification preferred.

Required skills

Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
Effective verbal and written communication for diverse audiences.
Strong organizational and time‑management abilities.
