About the role

The RN-BSN Emergency Medicine position at Jefferson Highway provides direct patient care in a fast‑paced emergency department. You will work within a collaborative, inclusive team dedicated to delivering exceptional care while following the Nursing Process and professional standards.

Key responsibilities

• Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
• Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary team members to achieve quality outcomes.
• Communicate effectively with interdisciplinary teams and educate patients and families.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing (RN‑BSN) and a current state RN license.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification and ability to obtain ACLS and PALS within 90 days of hire.
• Strong verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Ability to work independently, exercise good judgment, and adapt to diverse patient populations.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification.
• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (within 90 days).
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification (within 90 days).
• Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
