RN Ambulatory – Infusion Clinic – Kidney Medicine

About the role

The RN will join Cleveland Clinic's Infusion and Transplant Clinic, providing compassionate care to transplant patients receiving specialized infusion therapies. You will work in an outpatient setting with five infusion chairs, caring for 8–9 patients per day.

Key responsibilities

• Start and remove IVs, administer infusion treatments, and monitor patients throughout appointments.
• Document care accurately and educate patients and families about their therapy.
• Perform nursing assessments, telephone triage, and develop care plans.
• Administer medications, initiate CPR and emergency measures, and notify physicians of abnormal findings.
• Assist with specialized diagnostic and therapeutic procedures and operate patient care equipment.
• Travel within the region to support physician clinics and surgical procedures as needed.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN) with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; ACLS certification required for moderate sedation or cardiac stress testing.
• At least one year of recent RN experience or equivalent clinical experience.
• Physical ability to perform full range of motion, manual dexterity, and lift light loads.

Required skills

• IV insertion and infusion therapy expertise.
