RN - Adult Psychiatry

About the role

The Registered Nurse will work on the 2B Adult Psychiatry Unit at Lutheran Hospital, part of Cleveland Clinic’s Acute Adult Behavioral Health Center. This PRN position provides round‑the‑clock care for adult and older adult patients with acute behavioral, emotional, or psychiatric disorders.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to patients.
• Implement and monitor individualized patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions.
• Execute physician and nursing orders accurately.
• Assess and coordinate patients’ discharge needs.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) if working in Critical Care.
• External applicants: two years of recent related nursing experience; internal applicants may have less than two years with probationary review.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (when applicable).
