Rheumatology Physician (Board Certified/Eligible)

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Rheumatologist to join its outpatient Rheumatology Department in Covington, Louisiana. The physician will work within an integrated practice model that serves a panel of over 6,600 patients across Louisiana and Mississippi, with access to infusion suites in Covington and Slidell and support from specialists throughout the system.

Key responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive outpatient care for a wide range of rheumatic diseases, including rheumatoid arthritis, systemic lupus erythematosus, spondyloarthropathies, inflammatory myositis, gout and others.
• Manage infusion therapies in the dedicated infusion suites and coordinate care with the regional clinic health centers.

Required profile

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Rheumatology.
• No hospital call required; focus on outpatient practice.
• Ability to work within a strong internal referral network and collaborative multi‑specialty environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the EPIC electronic medical record platform.
• Experience managing infusion therapies and coordinating multidisciplinary care.
