LPN – Orthopedic Surgery (Licensed Practical Nurse)

About the role

This position provides direct patient care on an orthopedic surgery unit, delivering compassionate nursing services under the direction of a registered nurse. The LPN will perform assessments, administer treatments, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure high‑quality outcomes.

Key responsibilities

• Uses the nursing process to assess, plan, implement and evaluate patient care, including IV therapy and medication administration.
• Communicates professionally with patients, families and the multidisciplinary team to ensure a high‑quality patient experience.
• Adapts to rapid changes on the unit, manages personal professional development and stays current with federal, state and accreditation standards.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Current Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• Preferred IV therapy credentials.
• Strong organizational, time‑management and interpersonal skills.
