RF/mm-Wave EM Design Engineer

About the role

Falcomm designs energy-efficient power amplifier products and is looking for an RFIC EM Design Engineer in Atlanta, GA. You will lead the design of RF circuits, work with RFIC design engineers and help turn customer specifications into design requirements. The position is full-time and on-site at the Atlanta office.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the design of RF circuits and work closely with RFIC design engineers to optimize overall performance.
• Collaborate across teams to convert customer specifications into design requirements.
• Assist in prototype development, including evaluation, troubleshooting and optimization, so samples reach the customer on time.
• Prepare detailed documentation and reports on design optimization processes and results.
• Stay up to date with industry trends and advances in semiconductor technology.

Required profile

• MSEE or PhD.
• At least 2 years of experience in electromagnetics (EM).
• Strong knowledge of RF/microwave principles and electromagnetic theory.
• Solid understanding of module components such as power amplifiers, low noise amplifiers, RF switches, couplers, filters and multi-chip modules.
• Ability to work on-site full-time in Atlanta, GA.
• U.S. citizenship, lawful permanent residency, protected individual status or eligibility for the required authorizations under U.S. export regulations (ITAR).

Required skills

• Creating 3D circuit models with EM tools and running simulations on passive RF structures, able to bridge models, simulations, physical implementation and measured performance.
• Analytical and problem-solving skills for data collection and troubleshooting.
• Communication skills and teamwork.
• Tools: Spectre RF, ADS, Matlab and HFSS.
