Review Physician (Medical Doctor) – WeCARE

About the role

Montefiore Einstein, through its WeCARE program, is seeking a dedicated Review Physician to support the Medical Director in delivering high‑quality clinical services for New York City’s Human Resources Administration (HRA) clients. The role focuses on medical review, wellness planning, and client engagement to ensure compliance with contractual and program standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct thorough medical reviews of Clinical Assessments and Reassessments for accuracy and completeness.
• Finalize Wellness Plan dispositions in line with program standards.
• Serve as a clinical resource for WeCARE staff, guiding quality service delivery and HRA compliance.
• Motivate and assist clients to engage fully with the WeCARE process and attend scheduled appointments.
• Help clients access needed services and reduce barriers to participation.

Required profile

• Current, unrestricted New York State license to practice as a Doctor of Medicine.
• Board certification by ABMS or AOA in Internal Medicine, Family Practice, PM&R, or Emergency Medicine.
• Minimum two years of professional experience in medical or clinical practice.
• Knowledge of medical and behavioral health diagnoses.

Required skills

• Strong computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office.
• Experience with clinical systems such as SEAMS, EPIC, PSYCKES, Bronx RHIO, or similar.
