Retrofit Solutions Engineer (Contract)

About the role

Join Airbus Cabin Upgrade Engineering as a Retrofit Solutions Engineer on a contract basis. You will apply aerospace engineering principles to design and deliver high‑quality cabin retrofit solutions, managing technical and project aspects from architecture definition to certification.

Key responsibilities

• Develop comprehensive cabin retrofit architectures and detailed engineering drawings, optimizing lead‑time, quality and cost.
• Define complete retrofit kits, create engineering documentation and manage subcontractor performance.
• Coordinate project execution, stakeholder liaison and program enablers to ensure on‑time delivery.
• Develop certification plans and support regulatory compliance with FAA/EASA requirements.
• Provide on‑site technical support to customer airlines or MRO facilities and resolve technical queries.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s (or Master’s) degree in Aerospace, Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
• 0‑3 years of engineering experience (or 0‑1 year with a Master’s).
• Exposure to project or program engineering methodologies and experience with aircraft cabin or MRO environments is preferred.
• Ability to travel up to 10 % domestically and internationally.

Required skills

• Proficiency with industry‑standard CAD tools such as CATIA V5.
• Programming experience in Python or a similar language.
• Competence in Google Workspace/Google Suite for collaboration and documentation.
