Retirement Financial Advisor

About the role

Manulife is hiring a Retirement Financial Advisor in Boston, working in a telephone-based, employee-channel team. Advisors are supported with a steady flow of qualified client opportunities and focus on retirement, investment and wealth planning rather than self-generated prospecting. The position is an existing vacancy and is offered in a hybrid arrangement.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as a member of the phone-based team, giving financial education, investment guidance and financial planning to existing IRA clients and referrals from other service centers.
• Answer inbound calls, assess client needs and help clients make informed investment decisions.
• Analyze each client's situation quickly, present relevant options and deliver a high-quality service experience.
• Educate clients on retirement and investment concepts, deepen relationships and gather additional assets.
• Achieve monthly productivity targets, including timely follow-up on sales leads and client opportunities.
• Stay informed on market trends, retirement regulations, economic indicators and financial planning topics.
• Maintain detailed knowledge of the Manulife John Hancock Wealth offerings and solutions.
• Take part in training and coaching programs and share successful client engagement practices with the team.

Required profile

• FINRA SIE and Series 7, 63 licenses.
• 65 licenses required within 90 days of hire.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• 5+ years of financial services experience, preferably in phone-based and/or sales roles.
• CRPC designation is a plus.

• Base salary expected between $59,000 and $98,300, plus discretionary incentive compensation.
