Retail District Manager

About the role

Melin is looking for a Retail District Manager to oversee several stores, called Customer Experience Labs, and lead a high-performing group of Store Managers. Working with the Senior Manager of Stores, you will set the strategy, growth and performance of the retail business in your district, partnering with Human Resources, Retail Operations, Marketing and Merchandising to exceed targets.

Key responsibilities

• Drive revenue and profitability across the district, manage store spend and minimise costs
• Monitor daily, weekly and monthly business and people results, and set KPI goals with Store Managers
• Protect assets by mitigating risk, preventing theft and ensuring inventory accuracy
• Keep store assortments, depth and breadth aligned with profitability and sales
• Work with marketing on product releases aligned with the GTM calendar
• Source, assess and select talent, integrate new hires and maintain a sustainable talent pipeline
• Support store schedules, ensure performance reviews are accurate and uphold compliance
• Coach staff on customer service and product knowledge, and lead client strategy to retain customers and acquire new ones

Required profile

• Minimum of 3 years of multi-unit retail management experience
• BA or BS preferred
• Willingness to work weekends, evenings and holidays as needed
• Regular travel between retail locations and staying mobile during store visits
