Retail Director – Global Luxury Boutique Network

About the role

Assouline, the leading luxury culture brand, is seeking a Retail Director to lead and elevate its global boutique network, including flagship locations with bar and restaurant concepts. Reporting to the President, you will be responsible for driving commercial performance while preserving the brand’s distinctive identity at the intersection of retail, culture, and hospitality.

Key responsibilities

• Lead global retail strategy across all boutiques and locations, driving sales performance, profitability, and KPI achievement.
• Partner with Finance on budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
• Identify growth, expansion, and operational optimization opportunities.
• Oversee hospitality operations in designated locations, ensuring brand alignment, service excellence, and regulatory compliance.
• Champion an elevated client journey across retail and hospitality touchpoints, maintaining immersive and culturally rich boutique environments.
• Lead and develop Store Leaders and Hospitality Managers, fostering a culture of accountability and entrepreneurial ownership.
• Support boutique launches and international expansion, coordinating operational setup and design integration.

Required profile

• 10+ years of senior leadership experience in luxury retail environments.
• Preferred experience overseeing hospitality concepts such as restaurants, bars, or cafés.
• Proven ability to drive commercial performance and manage multi‑site operations.
• Strong partnership skills with finance, HR, and creative teams.
