Restoration Technician

About the role

ServiceMaster Restore, which responds to water, fire, smoke and storm damage in homes and businesses, is hiring a full-time Restoration Technician in Dallas. The role suits a hands-on professional who works well under pressure, values craftsmanship and understands the importance of customer care during stressful loss situations.

Key responsibilities

• Perform water extraction, structural drying, fire and smoke mitigation
• Set up, monitor and remove restoration equipment such as air movers, dehumidifiers and air scrubbers
• Perform controlled demolition and removal of damaged materials
• Clean, sanitize and restore structural materials and contents
• Take moisture readings with meters and thermal imaging tools
• Document job progress with photos and mobile job management software
• Maintain safe, organized and professional job sites
• Communicate with customers, adjusters and team members
• Follow OSHA safety standards, PPE requirements and company procedures
• Participate in on-call rotation for emergency response

Required profile

• Experience in restoration, mitigation, construction, general labor or skilled trades preferred
• Knowledge of water damage restoration, mold remediation or fire damage cleanup is a plus
• IICRC certifications (WRT, ASD, FSRT) preferred or willingness to obtain them
• Able to lift 50+ lbs and perform physical labor in varied environments
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends and emergency calls
