About the role

Landmark Hospitality is looking for a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to join the team at The Logan Inn. The role involves managing reservations, greeting guests, and ensuring a smooth seating flow in an upscale restaurant environment.

Key responsibilities

  • Take and organize lunch and dinner reservations on the seating chart.
  • Greet guests, seat them, provide menus, and manage waitlists.
  • Balance guest distribution across server sections and adjust the chart as needed.
  • Handle drink orders while guests wait and direct them to the bar when appropriate.
  • Maintain a tidy hostess station and assist with table rearrangements for large parties.
  • Report issues to the manager, attend staff meetings, and help with opening/closing duties.

Required profile

  • Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
  • Professional, friendly demeanor with patience for frustrated guests.
  • Ability to read and interpret the restaurant’s seating chart.
  • Team player with clear communication skills.
  • Stamina to stand or walk for an entire shift.
