Assistant General Manager – Restaurant Operations

About the role

As an Assistant General Manager you will support the Restaurant General Manager in delivering exceptional customer experiences and maintaining brand standards. You will lead the team by example, training, coaching and recognizing staff while stepping in to run daily operations when the GM is absent.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure consistent customer satisfaction by modeling the MIC Success Routine and prioritising customer needs.
• Oversee team adherence to Shift Excellence, food safety, and core operational standards.
• Assist with profit & loss management, cash control, inventory, labour scheduling and financial reporting.
• Collaborate with the GM on performance assessments, employee relations and hiring processes.
• Maintain facility upkeep, health and safety compliance, and support equipment and security procedures.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 + years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• Strong communication skills for performance appraisals, disciplinary actions and staff motivation.
• Ability to champion Taco Bell’s culture, equity, inclusion and belonging.
• Commitment to work‑hard, play‑hard environment with a 50‑hour work week.

Required skills

• Experience with P&L management, cash control and inventory procedures.
• Knowledge of occupational health, food safety standards and corporate policies.
