Restaurant Host/Hostess

About the role

Landmark Hospitality is looking for a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to be the first point of contact for guests at its upscale dining venues. You will manage reservations, seat guests efficiently, and ensure a welcoming atmosphere throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Take and organize lunch and dinner reservations on the seating chart.
• Greet guests, seat them in open or reserved sections, and provide menus.
• Balance guest distribution across servers, maintain waitlists, and adjust the chart when staff call in sick.
• Take drink orders while guests wait, direct them to the bar, and notify them when tables are ready.
• Keep the hostess station tidy, assist with table rearrangements for large parties, and support opening/closing duties.
• Address customer concerns, report issues to the manager, and thank guests as they leave.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational ability.
• Professional yet friendly demeanor, patience with frustrated guests.
• Ability to stand or walk for an entire shift.
• Team player who communicates clearly with servers and management.
