Restaurant Host – Front‑of‑House Team

About the role

The Host will be the first point of contact for guests at The Albion Hotel’s restaurant, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere and smooth seating flow. This full‑time, on‑site position requires strong interpersonal skills and the ability to manage the restaurant’s seating chart efficiently.

Key responsibilities

• Take and organize reservations for lunch and dinner, updating the seating chart accordingly.
• Greet guests, seat them, provide menus, and manage waitlists.
• Balance guest distribution across servers, adjust seating when staff call in sick, and rearrange tables for large parties.
• Maintain a tidy host station, assist with opening and closing duties, and report any issues to the manager.
• Address customer concerns, resolve complaints, and thank guests as they leave.
