Restaurant Host – Front of House

About the role

Landmark Hospitality is looking for a friendly and organized Host/Hostess to manage the front‑of‑house experience at its upscale dining venues. You will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring smooth seating and excellent customer service.

Key responsibilities

• Take and manage reservations for lunch and dinner, organizing them on the seating chart.
• Greet guests, seat them in open or reserved tables, and provide menus.
• Balance guest distribution across server sections and maintain the seating chart throughout the shift.
• Handle waitlists, take drink orders, and direct guests to the bar as needed.
• Assist with table rearrangements for large parties, keep the hostess station tidy, and support opening/closing duties.
• Communicate any issues to the manager, attend staff meetings, and address customer concerns.

• Excellent interpersonal and customer‑service skills with a friendly, professional demeanor.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
• Ability to remain patient and polite with frustrated guests.
• Good stamina for standing and walking throughout the shift.
• Team‑player attitude with clear, effective communication.
