Residential Construction Superintendent

About the role

The Residential Construction Superintendent oversees the construction of single‑family and multi‑family homes, ensuring projects are completed cleanly, correctly, and on schedule. This role collaborates with subcontractors, office staff, and various stakeholders to deliver high‑quality homes for Hubbell Communities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage day‑to‑day construction labor on assigned sites through subcontractors.
• Conduct pre‑construction reviews of plans, estimates, specifications, and schedules.
• Coordinate with warranty, customer service, and real‑estate teams to track and close warranty items.
• Process purchase‑order changes and ensure accurate invoicing of non‑budgeted items.
• Maintain and update job schedules using the BMT scheduling module.
• Schedule subcontractors and material suppliers to meet closing timelines.
• Perform daily site walks, weekly inventory home inspections, and ensure EPA and OSHA compliance.
• Train assistant superintendents and uphold company vehicle standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management, construction engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Minimum four years of supervisory experience in residential homebuilding.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Strong knowledge of building technical aspects and regulatory requirements.

Required skills

• Proficiency with the BMT scheduling module.
• Knowledge of EPA compliance programs.
• Knowledge of OSHA safety standards.
