Resident Maintenance Technician 4

About the role

The Electro‑Mechanical Tech Level IV is responsible for day‑to‑day fault resolution, equipment troubleshooting, preventative and predictive maintenance, and systems operations on material handling equipment at the Fishkill location.

Key responsibilities

• Repair and maintain material handling equipment, including belt tracking, component adjustment/replacement, and lubrication.
• Perform preventative maintenance routines, document work, and use electrical test equipment to troubleshoot circuitry.
• Build and close work orders in the asset management system with detailed labor, parts, and equipment data.
• Respond to service calls, troubleshoot semi‑complex problems, and supervise spare parts inventory.
• Install and adjust PLCs, sensors, and other controls using vendor software.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree or vocational training is a plus.
• 2‑3 years of experience troubleshooting electro‑mechanical equipment and working with programmable logic controllers (PLC).
• Ability to lift up to 50 lb, climb ladders, and stand/walk for up to 10‑12 hours per shift.
• Flexibility to work night shifts, overtime, and multiple shift patterns.

Required skills

• PLC programming and troubleshooting.
• Use of electrical test equipment.
• Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook, and Google G‑Suite.
