Resident Experience Ambassador - Part Time

About the role

The Experience Senior Living team in Cape Coral is looking for a part-time Resident Experience Ambassador to help residents stay active and engaged. The schedule is 9am-5pm on Saturdays, Mondays and Tuesdays, and 1pm-5pm on Sundays.

Key responsibilities

• Facilitate socials, games, crafts, cooking, movies, outings, outdoor time and other activities according to the monthly and daily schedule.
• Work with the Resident Experience team to suggest new ideas and encourage others to propose new suggestions for the monthly programs.
• Help create and adjust the Resident Experience plan for each resident and ensure every resident receives a copy of the monthly activity calendar.
• Invite and engage all residents to take part, to the extent they are comfortable, and help bring them to and from activities.
• Use Lifeloop to document attendance at planned activities and 1:1 interactions.
• Report to the Resident Experience Director any personal, emotional, cognitive or environmental concerns that limit a resident's participation.
• Maintain a customer focus, treat others with respect and integrity, and may drive the company van or vehicle as required.

Required profile

• Previous experience organizing activities or events preferred; 1-2 years of working with seniors preferred.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record, as driving is part of the role.
• Able to work varied schedules including weekends, evenings and holidays.
• Background screening in accordance with Florida law and company policy is required; certain positions may require fingerprinting and Level 1 or Level 2 screening.

Required skills

• Independent judgement and discretion in acting in the best interest of the resident.
• Verbal, written and pictorial communication, and ability to operate standard office equipment.
• Effective use of computers, iPads/tablets, Word, the internet, email, social media and Resident Experience software platforms.
• Creative problem solving, teamwork and a professional, punctual appearance.
