About the role
Commonwealth Fusion Systems is seeking a Research Technician to support its superconducting R&D and pilot projects. You will work in a fast‑paced, collaborative laboratory environment, helping to develop next‑generation superconductor technologies.
Key responsibilities
- Assist process development and experimental studies within a multidisciplinary team of scientists and engineers.
- Operate and maintain laboratory tools and systems for materials characterization.
- Perform data collection, analysis, and reporting on project progress.
- Support senior process leads by tracking milestones and delivering results on schedule.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) with at least 3 years as a process or metrology technician in R&D or manufacturing.
- Strong commitment to safety, quality, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to follow technical instructions, work independently, and see projects through from test execution to reporting.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
