Research Scientist in Biology

About the role

The Research Scientist will conduct independent, complex research in biological sciences, applying advanced techniques to address project questions and contribute to scholarly publications.

Key responsibilities

• Design and execute experiments, including mouse and rat handling, injections, euthanasia, and necropsy.
• Analyze proteomics and other research data, summarize results, and prepare technical progress reports.
• Assist with grant acquisition and supervise student researchers and junior staff.
• Prepare presentations and contribute to research papers and publications.

Required profile

• PhD in a related biological field.
• Minimum six years of relevant research experience.
• BSL‑2 training and experience.
• Ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.

Required skills

• Proteomics data analysis.
• Mammalian cell culture.
• Immunostaining and western blot techniques.
• Drug development and pre‑clinical research.
• Mouse and rat handling, injections, euthanasia, necropsy.
