Research Nurse – Rheumatology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Research Nurse in the Rheumatology department to coordinate and manage human subject research studies from start‑up through completion. The role involves protecting participant rights, ensuring protocol feasibility, and supporting a growing CAR‑T research portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate implementation of research projects, ensuring adherence to protocol requirements and timely completion.
• Prepare and communicate regulatory documents, report Serious Adverse Events, and complete FDA and sponsor forms.
• Serve as liaison between investigators, research personnel, sponsors, and central research administration.
• Assess research subjects, perform nursing assessments, document findings, and notify physicians of abnormal results.
• Collect and process specimens for the biorepository, administer study‑related injections and infusions.
• Maintain regulatory documentation, support audit preparation, and ensure compliance with CCHS policies.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
