Research Nurse - Oncology

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Taussig Cancer Institute is seeking a Research Nurse to support oncology clinical trials and human subject research. You will work day shifts, primarily on‑site, with the possibility of a hybrid schedule after six months.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with the implementation and conduct of oncology research projects, ensuring protocol compliance.
• Prepare, complete, and communicate regulatory documents, data capture plans, and adverse event reports.
• Serve as liaison among investigators, research staff, and central administration for protocol interpretation and enrollment issues.
• Perform nursing assessments, develop care plans, administer medications and treatments, and document findings in research records.
• Conduct informed consent processes and maintain certification in Human Subjects Research.

Required profile

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure.
• At least two years of clinical nursing experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Ability to obtain cancer‑specific certification or demonstrate ongoing qualifying education.

Required skills

• Human Subjects Research certification (to be completed within 90 days of hire).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with standard computer applications.
• Knowledge of oncology clinical trial procedures and regulatory requirements.
