Request to Initiate Purchase (RIP) Lead

About the role

MANTECH seeks a motivated, customer‑oriented Request to Initiate Purchase (RIP) Lead to join its vehicle sustainment team supporting the Allied Logistics Engineering Capabilities Sustainment (ALECS) program. This fully remote, full‑time position focuses on reviewing purchase requisitions, creating and tracking RIPs, and ensuring proper funding.

Key responsibilities

• Review Purchase Requisitions for accuracy and verify adequate funding.
• Create RIPs, submit for government approval, and track them through the approval chain.
• Maintain a database of approved RIPs and coordinate with requisitioners and buyers.
• Monitor changes in purchase requirements, initiate revisions, and ensure weekly close‑out of RIPs.
• Generate weekly reports for Program Management and assist in voucher reconciliation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree with 4+ years of relevant experience, or high school diploma with 10+ years.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
• Valid driver’s license for the work location.
• Ability to pass pre‑employment drug screening.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Outlook and Excel.
