Renewals Manager, Indirect Procurement

Job description
About the role
Everlaw is looking for a Renewals Manager to own its rolling pipeline of internal SaaS and IT contract renewals, preventing unfavorable auto-renewals and driving cost savings through usage analysis and license right-sizing. The role partners with Engineering, IT, HR and Marketing teams to manage the commercial lifecycle of expiring vendor contracts. It is a full-time, non-exempt position in the Oakland, CA office with a hybrid schedule (in office M/W/Th, home on T/F).
Key responsibilities
- Maintain a rolling 12-month renewal calendar, starting cycles 90-120 days before expiration.
- Analyze utilization data with IT Asset Management to spot unused seats, over-provisioned tiers and shelfware.
- Negotiate software and IT renewals using playbooks, benchmarks and pre-approved fallback positions.
- Coordinate reviews with Legal, Security, IT, Compliance and FP&A on data privacy, security and budget approvals.
- Administer procurement software (ZIP) and keep contract records, renewal dates, spend and savings metrics accurate.
Required profile
- At least 5 years of progressive procurement experience, ideally in a fast-growing technology or software environment.
- Experience managing end-to-end renewal pipelines and building procurement functions across multi-location organizations.
- Strong data analysis skills and a track record of using usage metrics to build reduction cases.
- Effective communication across all levels and attention to detail on contract hygiene and notice windows.
- Authorized to work in the United States; Everlaw does not sponsor U.S. employment visas for this role.
Required skills
- Bonus: e-procurement and SaaS tools such as ZIP or Ironclad.
- Bonus: structured negotiation methods or formal negotiation training.
- Bonus: SOC 2 compliance, data privacy reviews or vendor security assessments.
- Bonus: vendor consolidation or cost reduction experience.
What we offer
- Expected salary of $135,000-$170,000, plus eligibility for equity.
- Medical, dental and vision coverage, flexible spending accounts, Modern Health membership, paid parental leave, and life and disability insurance.
- 401(k) with up to 4% company match and equity grants.
- 17 paid vacation days, 11 federal holidays, paid sick leave and four extra paid days off per year.
- Learning and development allowance, monthly home internet reimbursement, desk setup stipend, catered lunches and hybrid work.
