Remote Systems Engineer / Requirements Engineer

About the role

Advanced Automation Corporation (AAC) is looking for a Systems Engineer / Requirements Engineer to join an existing high-performing team within its DOE Programs department. The role focuses on eliciting, collecting, developing and migrating system and sub-system requirements for a large-scale enterprise system. It is a full-time remote position on a 4-month contract, with a potential for extension.

Key responsibilities

• Establish specific, reliable and testable requirements that can be validated and verified independently, or perform that validation and verification
• Migrate requirements and their traceable relationships from documents or other requirements management software to DOORS Next
• Develop interface requirements documenting the dependencies between parties responsible for implementing a system or sub-system
• Establish, coordinate and/or take part in technical reviews
• Work closely with engineers of various disciplines

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science degree in an engineering discipline
• US citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain a DOE Q clearance
• Extensive knowledge of the Systems Engineering Lifecycle
• 10 years of prior related work experience in systems engineering and/or requirements engineering
• Strong communication skills and ability to work alone or in a team

Required skills

• Requirements management, including migration to DOORS Next
• Familiarity with IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management tools or similar tool sets
• Common desktop productivity tools such as MS Office
