About the role

Join the Ochsner Therapy & Wellness team as a Rehabilitation Technician on an as‑needed (PRN) basis. Working under direct supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist, you will help deliver therapeutic treatments and ensure a safe, clean environment for patients.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide therapeutic modality treatments as assigned, following detailed instructions and competency guidelines.
  • Prepare therapy areas, order supplies/linen, and maintain equipment cleanliness and safety.
  • Transport patients safely using wheelchairs or stretchers and assist with front‑desk procedures.
  • Perform isolation techniques per infection‑control policy and mentor new staff in the assigned area.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in healthcare sciences preferred.
  • No prior experience required; up to 5 years relevant experience or enrollment in a clinical program is a plus.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to travel between facilities and perform physically demanding tasks.
