About the role

The Rehab Technician works under the direct supervision of a licensed physical or occupational therapist, providing therapeutic modality treatments and supporting patient care in a hospital setting.

Key responsibilities

  • Prepare and maintain therapy areas, order supplies, and ensure equipment is clean, operable, and safe.
  • Transport patients via wheelchair or stretcher, assist with treatments as instructed, and perform isolation techniques per infection‑control policy.
  • Mentor new staff, handle front‑desk duties, and support therapists with patient monitoring.

Required profile

  • High school diploma or equivalent; some college coursework in healthcare sciences preferred.
  • Ability to perform heavy physical work, including lifting and moving objects regularly.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills and ability to travel between facilities.

Required skills

  • Proficiency with computers, software, and web‑based applications.
  • Knowledge of therapeutic modality equipment and infection‑control procedures.
