Registered Respiratory Therapist – Evening Shift

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Lutheran Hospital seeks a Registered Respiratory Therapist to join a Magnet‑recognized team. Working evenings, you will provide advanced respiratory care, collaborate with multidisciplinary clinicians, and contribute to patient education and research.

Key responsibilities

• Assess and treat patients with respiratory conditions, including cardiopulmonary evaluations and ventilator management.
• Perform invasive procedures such as arterial line insertion, blood gas sampling, tracheostomy tube changes, and assist with bronchoscopy.
• Administer medical gases, aerosolized medications, and lung re‑inflation techniques following established protocols.
• Respond to emergencies, participate in trauma and resuscitation, and support patient transport.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Respiratory Therapy program and RRT certification (NBRC).
• Ohio Respiratory Care Professional license.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications (or equivalent).
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays on a rotating schedule.

Required skills

• Mechanical ventilator operation (invasive and non‑invasive).
• Arterial line insertion and blood gas analysis.
• Bronchoscopy assistance and tracheostomy care.
• Pulmonary function testing and bedside respiratory assessments.
