Registered Radiology Technologist

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Avon Hospital is seeking a Registered Radiology Technologist to join its Magnet‑recognized imaging team. You will work the second‑shift evenings, providing high‑quality diagnostic images while ensuring patient comfort and safety.

Key responsibilities

• Perform general radiology, portable, and fluoroscopic examinations using stationary units, mobile machines, C‑arms and fluoroscopy systems.
• Acquire, archive, transmit and print images via the Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) with accuracy and timeliness.
• Educate patients about procedures, equipment and exam expectations to promote cooperation.
• Maintain documentation, assist with scheduling, prioritize cases and process billing.
• Identify equipment malfunctions, notify management and coordinate repairs with the help desk and PACS administrator.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited Radiologic Technology program.
• Registered Technologist in good standing with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
• Current state licensure as a Radiology Technologist.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association or Red Cross.
• Preferred: at least one year of experience as a General Radiologic Technologist.

Required skills

• Operation of various X‑ray equipment (stationary, mobile, C‑arm, fluoroscopy).
• Proficiency with PACS for image acquisition, archiving and transmission.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) competency.
