Registered Polysomnographic Technician – PRN

About the role

The Sleep Disorders Center at Cleveland Clinic Indian River Hospital seeks a PRN Registered Polysomnographic Technician to perform overnight sleep studies, ensure data quality, and support patient care.

Key responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive polysomnographic testing, scoring analysis, and related interventions.
• Supervise Polysomnographic Technicians and trainees.
• Review patient history, medications, and study protocols.
• Prepare, calibrate, and maintain sleep study equipment.
• Apply electrodes, sensors, and conduct PAP mask fittings according to standards.
• Monitor study quality, adjust signals, and document observations.
• Assist with scoring sleep stages and clinical events, and generate accurate reports.

Required profile

• High School diploma or GED.
• Registered Polysomnography Technologist (RPSGT) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association.

Required skills

• Polysomnographic testing and scoring.
• Equipment calibration and troubleshooting.
• PAP mask fitting and positive airway pressure management.
• Application of electrodes and sensors per published standards.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) procedures.
