About the role
The Women's Health Clinical Navigator provides comprehensive nursing care for Veterans, focusing on women's health services such as mammography, cervical cancer screening, and bone density testing. This position emphasizes self‑direction, professional growth, and the application of nursing theory to real‑world patient management.
Key responsibilities
- Coordinate patient care and disposition planning for Veterans requiring women's health services.
- Manage screening programs for mammography, cervical cancer, and bone density.
- Ensure accurate documentation and follow‑up of clinical outcomes.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize care pathways.
- Maintain compliance with VA policies and federal regulations.
Required profile
- Proficiency in written and spoken English as required by 38 U.S.C. 7403(f).
- Graduation from an ACEN‑ or CCNE‑accredited nursing program.
- Current, unrestricted registration as a professional nurse in a U.S. state, territory, or the District of Columbia.
- Eligibility for temporary Graduate Nurse Technician appointment if licensure is pending.
- Ability to obtain state licensure if enrolled in a master's level bridge program.
