About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Registered Nurse working weekend shifts in the Emergency Department at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Muhlenberg. Provide professional nursing care, assess patient needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients.
• Communicate and collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary team members to resolve patient needs.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice and quality improvement initiatives.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the unit and utilize technology to optimize care delivery.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current nursing competence.
• Ability to organize and prioritize assignments and maintain unit‑specific competencies.
• Successful completion of orientation programs related to the specialty.
• Basic computer skills and American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification upon hire.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Proficiency with basic computer applications.
