Registered Nurse – Surgical Medical Unit

About the role

Join the Cleveland Clinic South Pointe Hospital’s 9th‑floor Surgical Unit, a 16‑bed, Magnet‑designated environment that delivers comprehensive surgical and post‑surgical care to adult patients. As a Registered Nurse you will provide direct patient care from admission through discharge, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams and educating patients and families. This position operates on a day/night rotation with weekend and holiday coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver direct nursing care, administer medications and treatments, and execute physician and nursing orders.
• Develop, monitor, and update individualized patient care plans.
• Document and communicate patient conditions, vital signs, and progress notes accurately.
• Coordinate discharge planning and provide education to patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN) and current RN licensure.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute‑care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.
• Preferred: Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
