About the role

The Surgical ICU at Indian River Hospital seeks a night‑shift Registered Nurse to provide direct patient care, coordinate discharge planning, and educate patients and families in a high‑acuity environment.

Key responsibilities

Deliver direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
Monitor, document, and communicate patient conditions.
Administer medications, treatments, and follow physician orders.
Assess and coordinate patient discharge needs and provide education.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN).
Current state RN licensure.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
Ability to perform full range of body motions, lift patients, and work under stressful conditions.
