About the role

The Registered Nurse will lead patient care in the Stepdown/Critical Care unit during night shifts, applying the nursing process and adhering to the Nurse Practice Act, ANA Code, and scope of practice. The RN will delegate, direct, and support team members while ensuring quality outcomes and cultural sensitivity.

Key responsibilities

Effectively uses the nursing process to deliver patient care.
Assesses learning needs and implements appropriate teaching strategies for patients and families.
Communicates, delegates, and manages nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
Uses data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
Adapts behavior to respect patient privacy and cultural preferences.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing school (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
Current registered nurse (RN) license in the state of practice.
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
No prior work experience required.
Preferred certification in a clinical specialty area.
