Registered Nurse – Stepdown Unit (Night Shift)

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Health System is seeking a Registered Nurse for the Stepdown Unit at Avon Hospital. This night‑shift position (7:00 pm‑7:30 am) provides high‑quality care to patients with major medical and surgical diagnoses.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care, implement and update patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, document and communicate patient conditions.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments, and follow physician and nursing orders.
• Assess discharge needs and educate patients and families.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN or BSN).
• Current state RN licensure and Basic Life Support certification.
• One year of acute‑care RN experience or licensed military RN experience.
• If working in Critical Care, Advanced Cardiac Life Support certification within first year.

Required skills

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification (when applicable).
• Valid RN license.
