Registered Nurse – Same Day Surgery

About the role

The Cleveland Clinic Main Campus is seeking a Registered Nurse for its Same Day Surgery Unit. You will provide direct patient care in a fast‑paced environment where many patients are discharged the same day after surgery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement patient care plans.
• Monitor, record, and communicate patients’ conditions throughout the peri‑operative period.
• Educate patients and families about post‑operative care, discharge needs, and cultural considerations.
• Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with nursing protocols.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (Diploma, ADN, or BSN).
• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN).
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• At least one year of acute care RN experience or equivalent military RN experience.

Required skills

• RN licensure and active registration.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Medication administration and treatment delivery per approved protocols.
