Registered Nurse (RN) – Senior Living

About the role

Harbor’s Edge, a 5‑star Continuing Care Retirement Community in Norfolk, Virginia, is looking for compassionate Registered Nurses to provide high‑quality care to senior residents. The role supports independent living, assisted living, memory support and skilled nursing services, ensuring dignity, safety and well‑being.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver patient‑centered nursing care, perform comprehensive assessments and monitor resident conditions.
• Develop, implement and update individualized care plans with accurate clinical documentation.
• Administer medications, treatments and interventions safely according to physician orders.
• Assist physicians with examinations, procedures and clinical evaluations.
• Coordinate interdisciplinary care with therapy, social services, dietary and other teams.
• Delegate to LPNs and CNAs, overseeing safe resident care.
• Manage admissions, transfers and discharges in compliance with CCRC policies.
• Support residents with activities of daily living and implement fall‑prevention and infection‑control protocols.

Required profile

• Current RN license in Virginia and a nursing degree.
• Minimum three years of progressive nursing experience in assisted living, memory support, long‑term care or CCRC settings.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Current CPR/BLS/AED certification; ISP/UAI preferred.
