Registered Nurse (RN) - Neuroscience and Spine Program Manager

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Registered Nurse to act as Program Manager for its Neuroscience and Spine program. The role manages the operations and evaluation of the program, including development, strategy, planning, implementation, assessment, patient flow and performance improvement, and provides management oversight of the hospital-based neuroscience program.

Key responsibilities

• Create and deploy strategies to increase neurosurgery volume, support neurosurgery committee efforts and engage physicians
• Ensure program standards meet CMS, The Joint Commission and the American Stroke Association guidelines
• Work with a multi-disciplinary team to improve care coordination, EMS outreach, staff education, physician and patient education and marketing communications
• Create policies guiding program operations and manage staff to ensure effective service delivery
• Coordinate intra-facility referrals and ensure regulatory compliance with relevant standards

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Nursing (required); Master's preferred
• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
• 3+ years of experience caring for patients with acute coronary syndrome
• 3+ years of leadership experience
• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required)
• Ability to work a varied schedule including night and weekend hours

Required skills

• Interpersonal and management skills, with strong communication with physicians, staff and the community
• Advanced clinical knowledge to oversee others and serve as a resource
• Critical thinking, analytical skills and organizational skills with time management and delegation
• Working knowledge of budgets and healthcare finance
• Preferred certifications: CEN, CCNS, ACLS, BLS
