Certified Medical Assistant (Float)

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a Certified Medical Assistant (float) for its facility in Greenwood Village, Colorado. The position is part-time and day shift, and is open to new hires eligible for a sign-on bonus of up to $5,000.

Key responsibilities

• Interview patients, measure vital signs and record information on their charts.
• Assist with treatments ordered by the provider under supervision.
• Prepare treatment rooms for patient examinations.
• Perform basic clerical duties such as answering phones, maintaining records and filing.
• Order and stock supplies and keep the environment clean and orderly.
• Document provider encounters, including diagnoses, symptoms, follow-up instructions and prescriptions.

Required profile

• High school graduate or equivalent (required).
• Customer service experience in a medical office (preferred).
• Basic Life Support / CPR certification (required).
• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or one of the listed certifications (required): Clinical Medical Assistant (CMAC), Registered Medical Assistant (RMA), National Certified Medical Assistant (NCMA), Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (CCMA), or Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NRCMA).
