Registered Nurse (RN) MedSurg 2 - $10k Sign-On Bonus

About the role

AdventHealth is hiring a full-time day-shift Registered Nurse (RN) for its MedSurg 2 unit in Zephyrhills, Florida. The nurse conducts comprehensive patient assessments, develops care plans and administers treatments safely, with a $10,000 sign-on bonus.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychological, developmental, sociocultural, spiritual and lifestyle factors.
• Develop and implement individualized care plans, regularly reviewing and revising them as needed.
• Administer medications and treatments accurately and safely, following physician orders and hospital protocols, and monitor for adverse reactions.

Required profile

• Registered Nurse (RN) license (required).
• Associate's degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Fluent English (reading, speaking and writing).
• Basic computer skills, including navigating Microsoft Windows-based programs.
• Ability to use abstract reasoning to assess patients, evaluate interventions and revise the plan of care.
• EKG (based on patient need) and Advanced Life Support requirements.
• 1+ year of experience in an acute care hospital setting preferred.

Required skills

• Organizational and multi-tasking skills.
• Knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
• Teamwork within a unit and effective verbal and oral communication and problem-solving.
• BLS (CPR) certification required; additional certifications such as CCNS, NRP, PEARS, TNCC, ABLS, CCRN-E, CLC, ONS, SCR, GERO-BC, RDMS-OBGYN and S.T.A.B.L.E. are preferred.
