About the role
Our 16‑bed Labor, Delivery, Recovery and Postpartum (LDRP) unit delivers family‑centered care for patients from admission through postpartum recovery. The Registered Nurse (RN) will provide comprehensive nursing care across triage, labor management, delivery, and recovery, ensuring safe, high‑quality outcomes for mothers and newborns.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality improvement initiatives.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care using the nursing process, engaging patients and families throughout the continuum of care.
- Monitor patient conditions, adjust care plans, mobilize resources, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team.
- Administer medications, treatments, and therapies safely according to clinical protocols.
- Maintain accurate and timely electronic health record (EHR) documentation.
- Promote a culture of safety, provide appropriate delegation, and may float to other units as needed.
Required profile
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program and current RN license.
- At least one year of Labor & Delivery experience.
- Comfortable working in a dynamic, patient‑focused environment with 3 × 12‑hour shifts (36 hrs/week).
- Commitment to professional development, certification maintenance, and adherence to the ANA Code of Ethics.
