Registered Nurse (RN) – BSN Emergency Department – Full Time

About the role

Ochsner Health is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) with a BSN to join the Emergency Department at the Jeff Hwy location. This full‑time position focuses on delivering exceptional patient care using the Nursing Process within the framework of the Nurse Practice Act and ANA standards.

Key responsibilities

• Effectively use the Nursing Process in patient care delivery.
• Assess learning needs and implement teaching strategies for patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Communicate, delegate, and manage nursing team resources, serving as a leader on the interdisciplinary team.
• Utilize data and knowledge to evaluate and promote changes for optimal outcomes.
• Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local regulations and Ochsner’s policies.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree in Nursing (required); Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred).
• Current State of Louisiana RN license.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
• No prior work experience required.
