Registered Nurse – Pre‑Post Doral – Per Diem

About the role

The University of Miami Health System seeks a Per Diem Registered Nurse to provide pre‑ and post‑operative care in Doral. This part‑time, temporary position supports patient assessment, treatment planning, and coordination with physicians.

Key responsibilities

• Assess patients, document nursing care, and report changes in condition and vital signs.
• Modify treatment plans based on patient response and physician orders, and prepare patients for examinations, procedures, and treatments.
• Administer medications safely, maintain accurate medication records, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory guidelines.
• Communicate care plans to patients, families, and the care team, and assist with discharge planning.

Required profile

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing.
• Florida Registered Nurse license.
• Minimum 2 years of nursing experience in a PACU setting.

Required skills

• Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
