About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Registered Nurse in a physician practice setting, providing patient preparation, medication administration, wound care, and procedural assistance.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients for examinations, including diagnostic interviewing, rooming, and administering medications and vaccines.
• Provide wound care and assist with procedures within the physician office.
• Coordinate care across settings, ensuring labs, studies, referrals, and results are managed and discussed with patients.
• Educate patients on prescription medications and clinical concerns under provider direction.
• Maintain instrument sterility, supply inventories, and document activities per accrediting standards.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program.
• American Heart Association Basic Life Support certification (Pennsylvania) upon hire.
• Ability to adapt to change, strong time management, and excellent computer skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency with EMR systems.
• Word processing and Excel.
• Knowledge of registration, insurance, managed care plans, medical authorization, and referral coordination.
