About the role

This full‑time RN position supports the Pediatric Gastroenterology & Hepatology clinic, delivering compassionate, high‑quality care to children and families. The role blends direct patient care with leadership of the nursing team, ensuring compliance with the Nurse Practice Act and Ochsner’s standards.

Key responsibilities

Utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care for pediatric GI and liver conditions.
Delegate, direct, and assist licensed and ancillary staff while maintaining accountability for patient outcomes.
Educate patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members on treatment plans and health maintenance.
Monitor and document compliance with federal, state, and accreditation regulations.

Required profile

Graduate of an accredited nursing program; Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Current RN license in Louisiana and Basic Life Support certification.
Strong organizational, time‑management, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining confidentiality.
