Registered Nurse – Part‑time Day Shift

About the role

Join Lehigh Valley Health Network as a Registered Nurse in the MSICU at Lehigh Valley Hospital‑Muhlenberg. Provide professional nursing care, assess and manage patient needs, and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams in a Magnet® recognized environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for designated patients, coordinating with physicians and team members.
• Provide patient and family education throughout the treatment course to ensure smooth transitions of care.
• Participate in evidence‑based practice, quality improvement, and research projects.
• Perform validated technical skills specific to the unit and utilize technology to optimize care delivery.
• Teach, mentor, and precept new colleagues and interns; delegate tasks based on team expertise and patient acuity.

Required profile

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program with current RN licensure in Pennsylvania.
• Ability to organize, prioritize, and deliver safe patient care in a fast‑paced environment.
• Successful completion of unit‑specific orientation and competency assessments.
• Basic computer proficiency and ability to lift/carry up to 50 lb.

Required skills

• American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
• Basic computer skills.
